Designed and fabricated by Farr-offroad using Polaris Outlaw front shocks.
Parts are off to the powdercoaters and shocks are getting serviced. Will have updates and more pics soon.

Nice shop. I see a kick azz industrial welder at the back, overhead hoist, looks like 1 1/4" steel fab table, flame proof metal cabinets for paints etc, three different size grinders and a possible sand blaster cabinet.
I bet you do industrial work. Lighting looks weak to me though, typical industrial.

Man it looks like Manny used some monster rod ends in that kit.

That's actually Emmanuel's shop lol. He sent me this pic of the kit mocked up minus the tie rods before he shipped it.
The other two pics I took myself.
Yeah he did a great job, really impressed of the bolt on bump steer, at least I think that's what it is...

The price of the kit is on Farr-offroad's web site
The price does not include shocks. The shocks I got used off eBay for a very reasonable price. A lot cheaper than Works shocks, and in my opinion better quality

Looked around pretty sure there fronts. Did the kit come with instructions. Not asking to post just wonder if they came with set up instructions. Hoping it takes a lot of quess work out of the install. I also assume it bolts up to stock pilot spindles. Did it come with break lines?

Let us know if you can or if you set up share set up. Help those who buy kit. Thank you.

how much does this raise the height of the fl400? I ask because my toybox trailer door is only so tall and not sure if it will fit with a long travel suspension.

A-arms and other components freshly back from the powder coaters. Still waiting on shocks from getting heavier springs and re-valve.
No instructions so I guess I'll have to figure it out for myself, if anybody here has any experience with a front end LT kit any info would be highly appreciated. I bought a set of stainless steel braided brake lines from Galfer but that was just a waist of money, only a couple of lines actually fit so I don't recommend buying their kit.
I'll take measurements when it's all done.

Oh my, no instructions !
Any time setting up front ends? If not you gonna have some fun.
Hard to believe he has no base line set up.
You know which parts go where start there.
Lay out parts in two sets
I take it your using pilot knuckle's?

Quick up-date, shocks are being shipped Monday from Rocket Ron Racing in Indiana. In the mean time I did a little mock up and it was actually pretty easy to put together once you put all the heims in their place. The kit comes with heims that are fine thread, course thread, right and left handed threads so they all have a place. I also spoke with Emmanuel and he set me straight on a few questions and figured out a couple wrong parts were sent.
I'm very impressed with the kit, everything is heavy duty, and well thought out. The quality of the fabrication is top notch.

Looks very nicely made from here!

Bolt it on and go jump stuff - there's your directions!

I think I got the sub-frame backwards but you guys get the idea. Besides once it's up under the frame it pretty much goes on one way. I also like to give a shout out to PCI (Powdercoat Industries) in Antelope Valley CA for hitting the mark on the color and quality finish. These pics don't give it justice, it's darker in person with just a hint of metallic flakes in the sunlight. It's too bad it's going to get scratched to hell but at least it looked nice once lol.

What are you long travel guys using on springs rates for your pilots?

Where are you buying your springs?

Ask them or weigh your buggy and take some measurements of the arms and use an online calculator.

I know nothing about suspension so I sent them out to a suspension tuner. So far he's going with 250lb. springs and upon what i'm finding searching this forum 250 seems too stiff and a lot of you guys are going with 90-125lb springs up front. But I would like to hear from someone running these rates(or other rates?) and see how it's working out for them. I also spoke with Eddie (former tech from Works Performance) and he's also coming out with high numbers if I understood him correctly.

interesting thread
thanks for the foot work on this. I might pickup a set if it doesn't raise the height too much so it will fit into my toybox.
any info you can pass along on this will be greatly appreciated.
wish I could help you out, but I know very little how to set up suspension.

If the suspension guy didn't ask for the corner weight or at least total weight of the car and some dimensions of the "arms" , He's guessing.

Sway-away used to have a good online calculator, but I haven't looked in long time.

It would be better to deal with whoever your buying the springs from.

Cant really go by what someone else uses, unless the dimensions of the arms are the same.

Ideally the car should be weighed with you in it, ready to ride.

You can not use what others are doing. Your arms are different. Why a straight single rate. Your going to want a lot of sag. Plus with a dual rate you can change some numbers In your favor if you running into an issue with rate. Now what are you doing in the rear. It matters or should be considered into your front. Also your valving is or should be factored in with rate. Your suspension guy should be asking you questions to which you can supply him / her the numbers to set up. If they don't ask there quessing. Not good for a starting point. An example would be how far from center ball joint to center of lower shock pivot and shock angle

The reason for that number will effect wheel rate and which changes the spring rate. So every time you move it closer and futher from the center of the ball joint it impacts the spring rate requirements. Further away takes stiffer rate and closer take softer rate. This is why all the numbers matter. The wheel rate need to be known so the spring rate can be figured. It basically is the leverage applied to the shock. Like a torque wrench. More leverage easier it moves long handle effect. Short handle the move force required to move. So if 250 lbs per inch. That springs can be compressed easier with a longer handle or move leverage. This is why they call it lever ratio.
