Hello i have made a 583 Rotax swap into a Odyssey FL350 . I have a trouble with clutch . I use a 108c i try to ajust it and i can't . What clutch you think i can use ? The stock Rotax clutch ? or a 102c Comet clutch is better that my 108c ??

Hi Civic, i am no expert with clutching but your Comet 108 EXP is just a stronger (better) version of the 102c, i wouldn't put a 102 on a rotax.

Why can't you adjust your clutch? there are lots of weights and springs to suit the comet clutches, i think Arctic cat and Polaris springs and or weights fit comet as well.

I just removed a comet 108 EXP from a rotax type 593, i have never driven the buggy with this clutch but from the witness marks on the clutch sheaves it was shifting all the way out. I prefer to use the TRA skidoo clutches because they are a little more covered and i don't get as much mud in them.

Cheers

Here is the build when I put a 440 ROTAX into my Pilot http://www.pilotodyssey.com/new440.htm

Plan your work work your plan....

I chose to use the same clutch I was using with the Honda Engine so before I removed the Honda Engine I captured the center to center distance between the crank shaft and the input shaft of the transmission I also captured the offset so when I installed my new Engine it was exactly in the same spot as my Honda Engine I also made sure it was plumb level and square with the transmission.

Now any drive clutch that was designed to work with a Pilot Engine will work on my setup, not really sure what I would do if I went to a OEM clutch since most likely the diameter will be different, a snowmobile clutch the belts are usually wider than a Pilot belt, doubt the offset will be correct.

108 clutch is fully adjustable just like the 102c and the 94c, power bloc etc.

What exactly is the problem with your clutching?

Hey, can someone suggest one for my Honda CB125R. I own the 2019 version of the Honda CB125R in the silver paint scheme. I was having an issue with the acceleration, so got my fuel injection system checked and it is sorted now. Now I am going to work on my clutch system and probably will get a slip-on exhaust for my bike. I saw an article on Mototech India, where a CB125R with reflashed ECU was capable of hitting 140 km/h. I also planning to go for a high-performance air filter and ECU reflash, to see how much capable this little beast is.
