Well ... my new brake cable is installed and the brakes work.. :)

Not that that's done.. I've moved on to another small thing that is bugging me.. a little noise coming from in or around the Engine..sounds like a small screw rattling around .. so I pushed on a few parts while running to see if it is just a lose screw or something. ..then .. when I touched the housing of the pull cord it shocked me pretty good ..
What would cause this shock ?
And or the rattling ?

When you reached in to check the housing, did you brush against the spark plug wire? that's the only thing I can think of that would really shock you on the machine at idle. Check it at night and see if you have any arcing off the wire. As for the rattling, just need to hunt that down. Might help to get a mechanic stethoscope. I'd start with that and checking for loose nuts/bolts.

Are you sure is not the Front clutch, at Idle the clutch has a rattle once you rev it the rattle goes away.

My 94c has a rattle @ idle.

Your odyssey is over 30 years old if I were you I would go through the hole thing and check all the bolts . The noise could be a loose bolt on the belt guard our even one of your Engine mounts know way to know until you check them all

It actually sounds like it is from that area..
And it is not always there...
Sometimes I'll turn the machin on and hear nothing ....give it a shot of gas then all of a sudden there it is making a little noise

What brand of clutch you running

The noise are the Pucks in the clutch / ""activator puck"" as per parts list

The pucks tap or bounce on the Cover.

common on the 94c and the oem

The 102c run a different system and I don't think they make much noise 102c owners might chime in here.

As far as the rattle, check the fitment of your exhaust at the manifold on the cylinder. Is it loose?

As far as getting shocked, check the bundle of wires that enter the stator area. The rubber grommet could be toast causing the wires to rub on the Engine case. Make sure they are well insulated and no exposed bare wires are showing through.

My 102c clutch is silent but have heard a few 94c clutches chirp or rattle.

Good luck
