Post subject:  Rim Size ???
So I bent a rear wheel yesterday and need to shop for another. Of course as I am new to odys I am learning all kinds of stuff mechanically speaking. So I believe I have an original set of wheels on 350, and appears my off set on rear wheel is balanaced at 5" front/back from mounting plate (or hub)? Does this sound right? If so I do I neeed to look for a rim that is 10" with 5" centered mount or something off centered that is after market?

I am not positive what the OEM rim size is. I believe that the best option would be to find another OEM rim if you do not plan on replacing both rear rims. If you choose to replace both, most people use a rim size:

10X8 3.0 + 5.0

Ok, so that is a OEM wheel? And is that an original rim to 350? Really was just trying to replace one but if I have to I can do both. And which direction will off set go if I was to get a a 3x5 off set? Thanks Curtis or anyone else who chimes in!!

Yes, you have a stock OEM FL350 rim. You may have luck finding someone on here with one for sale cheap or they sell for about $60 on ebay. The kicker is that Douglas Red Label rims are $60 brand new. You can buy new rims even cheaper if you go to a steel rim.

New = 10X8 3.0 + 5.0

Curtis, forgot to answer which direction the off set goes on the rear setup. Or can it only go one way when mounted?

You are not likely to find a stock rim that is made brand new. The wheel manufacturers don't make one with the original stock offsets. Below is a pdf on how wheels are measured. I also include a wordpad file (I hope I can attach it here). In the wordpad are various wheels for various machines. You will see the important stuff at the bottom. Only the Suzuki LT250 quad racer has the same rear wheel as an oddy. Several others make the front rim. The long number I have at the end of some of those is the ITP number for that rim. My money says you are going to end up buying two rims with non stock offset. Why not try to fix your damaged one if it is still repairable. By the way these rims are tough. You will need a cutting torch for heat, otherwise it's not gona happen, trust me.

The rim in white spot got knocked in about 3/4" and you can see changed wheel shape to tear drop almost. I do not have any tools to fix repairs like this. At home I barely have one toolbox with mix and match pieces!

Also, my brand new tires that are 22x11x10 will fit on the 8" part of wheel? I saw a diagram earlier in pilot forums and need to look back up for little more rim understanding.

If that's the only damage to that rim then it is easily repairable with a torch and hammer. You got any welder buddies that hang out with you ?? One of them will have a torch.
