I am just getting started on this and have a project to finish first (rebuilding a Cannondale 440 motorcycle
Engine for my dirt bike) but I wanted to get all of the pieces I need first. I have the
motor ((
Internal Combustion Engine ? )), the oil tank, and a Polaris clutch. I have a 102c clutch in the Odyssey now and I don't know if it can be used for the Polaris motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )). I want to find out if I can use a 350 belt or if I need to use a Polaris belt. I like the alignment tool I saw in one of your explanations and will make something similiar once I know what I need to work with.
Thanks
IF you use the clutch off the Ody Engine (taper should be the same) you need to blueprint the offset and center to center distance between the crank and the trans input shaft then copy it with your old clutch on the Polaris Engine this will also allow you to run the 350 belt...
You read my 440 saga on the Engine install if you look at the pics then ask yourself "why he do that" keeping in mind plumb level and square I think you will get it.
