Get a NEW tank, some people like the aluminum tanks and other's hate them, you don't have to worry about rust and with the old tank out it gives you room to mess with your carb. The tank on my oddysey is big, you can get them smaller that fit inside the rollcage.

Where do we source the aluminum tanks from? Why do some people hate them? It would seem that the gravity-fed system may also be more reliable...

I got my tank off ebay, as for people hating them, it's just like anything, you can't make everybody happy, some people like the stock look, other's say it raises the center of gravity and you might have to re-jet your carb.

The alum tank IMO isnt a good choice due to the size-see in the picture now the ends protrude out from the roll cage-in a rollover situation it is totally exposed-not good, and also the potential of fuel spillage onto a hot motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) in the same situation is a definie possibility for sure-not good. Those fuel caps do not seal as well as the stock fuel cell does IMO.

I've done them on Odysseys and Pilots and have never had an issue with them, some do, it's a preference thing, pros and cons both ways.

Try this guy, price is decent and he's always done good by me:

But I'd try to keep the stock system before making any permanent modifications.

NIce, Thanks for the link! I'll go home and meaure, but a 24" 3.5 gallon tank might do nicely. I would love to keep the original tank if it were fine, but I'll know more once I yank it and have a good look...

The 3.5 gal 8x16 will fit inside the frame, but the 5 gal 8x24 tanks won't (as seen in the pics above).

Some prefer aluminum, some poly. I have seen the poly tanks rupture on a roll-over, whereas the aluminum tanks usually just get dented.

Others have said the opposite, so you take your chances either way unless you keep it tucked inside the frame.

We currently don't have enough vehicles for everyone........

We've sold all but one of our 5 250's and are down to 3 pilots, 2 350's and the one 250.

Nice! I think a Pilot will be my next acquisition (the excuse is that I need something to follow the wife in when she's on "her" FL350...LOL).

So an 8x18, 3.5 gallon version it is...

I personally don't like the idea of fuel tank directly above motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )),potentionally dangerous if leaks/spillage,and it raises the center of gravity of of a constantly shifting, moving slide weight.IMO,it could be THAT little diff that could roll you over.
But if I did HAVE to have one,I would def fab up a spillage tray around the neck,and/or the whole tank, with 2,either side drainage hoses to the bottom...Baz
