I have two OEM 32mm Keihin carbs and both could use complete rebuilds.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a rebuild kit for the stock carb?

I am also contemplating on going with a different carb altogether if anyone has suggestions for that.

What is the best route to take?

Right now I running a DG pipe, Boysen Reeds and K&N Filter... nothing major, but thought that might help in helping to determine a good carb to fit.

Im told a 34-36mm works best for torque,38-39mm for dunes.I just bought a Keihin PJ36mm,the cap on it wouldn't fit my throttle cable so I have one ordered, when I get it going Ill let you know how i like it.

thanks for the quick response, redskinman.

yeah, I am curious as to how she performs as well as what mods you end up having to do in order to get your throttle, choke, etc. connected and working right.

If i get the right cap in i shouldn't have to do anything but screw the old throttle cable in.As far as the choke goes, when I bought mine the choke cable wasn't hooked up,it was just pull it up on the carb,so that's the way it will be on the new carb

Why exactly do you think the carbs need rebuilt, please show and tell us the problems?

I cant recommend any parts for a Keihin carb other than genuine Keihin parts all the carb rebuild kits I have seen IMO are junk I will take used OEM parts any day, your buying cheap china knockoffs.

In all my years of cleaning and inspecting ATV carbs I have only found two that needed parts replaced one needed a new needle the rubber tip was damaged the other was a carb off a 80cc quad the slow speed jet was dirty and its passages were so small they could not be cleaned so the jet was replaced.

hoser, like I stated in the other thread.... I am basically after a bowl gasket, needle and seat.

I found the bowl gasket on MotorcycleCarbs.com

Still can't find the needle and seat for the 32mm Keihin PE round slide tho.

Local bike shop asked me to bring in the carb and they are going to see if they can match up a needle and seat from something else. Not sure if this is going to work but I figure I will give it a try and see what happens.

not holding my breath on that one tho.

Try Carburetor Parts Warehouse http://www.carbparts.com/index.html and or SUDCO http://www.sudco.com/Carburetor01.html
