Not me but they seem like a good way to dial in your carb if your are doing some mountain climbing where you might want to lean out for the higher elevations.

I'm not sure how new this is but if it is as good as the hype, then it seems almost as good as fuel injection.http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/43/-/439/823/-/28461/Scott-No-Fog-Spray-Cleaner

Here is a ride report on it not from the mfg. http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=96393#post96393

Nice to see something new for the 2 strokes :-)

The Dial A Jet is designed as a fuel supplement system. It adds additional fuel by use of an injector that is added to either the carb itself or the intake boot area.

The vehicle in question needs to be jetted lean to start with in order to get the system to work properly. When you need more fuel such as going to a lower altitude or on a cold day, you can simply adjust the knob on the side of the unit to richen up the fuel mixture.

I am currently looking into this system as I generally ride at a higher altitude and then have to richen up my mixture to go to places such as Glamis, Dumont or Pismo. It is a major pain in the ass to pull the intake box on an FL350 so this may be a great benefit for me.

I know Turbo Texas runs one on his Pilot, you may want to PM him to see his opinion of it. I know he was having issues with the design on the little filter on the air intake that the system uses.

Does anyone remember the old Lectron carbs from the 1970s? The "dial a jet" is just a rehash of that system i think. Lectron were advertised as "the fuel injector carburettor" they were a flat slide carb with NO jets other than the mikuni? pilot jet that acted as an additional fuel supply at high RPM. Fuel supply was metered by the needle which was ground flat on the back side so that it created a low pressure area, the fuel would rise up the back of the needle and into the air flow which made for better atomisation of the fuel/air mix. There was a brass tube, usually placed in the top of the bell mouth into which the mikuni pilot jet was fitted with a fuel line directly to the fuel bowl.

I used the Lectrons on my oddy, Maicos and Nortons, i still have them on both my Nortons. Now that brings back memories lol.

Thunder Products makes an improved version of their Dial a Jet......it's called the Intelajet.

Dial a Jet.....
http://www.thunderproducts.com/dial_a_jet.htm
The Dial a jet has a small adjustment device that is located on the carburetor that can be adjusted to richen or lean out you mixture. This device draws air from the end of a tube assembly that sits over the end of the adjustment module. If I remember right you have to remove this tube assembly to access the adjustment screw. The cover over the screw fits poorly and in time will crack allowing dirt and sand to get into the metering device attached to the carburetor.

IntelAjet.....

The intelajet works on the same principal but has been upgraded with a much better setup. The adjustment module does not sit directly on the carburetor but can be placed remotely. It is designed to be placed on a pair of handlebars so that it can be adjusted while riding. The air filtration system is also greatly improved as you do not have to remove it to make adjustments.

I forsee a Christmas gift to myself this year.... an IntelAjet!

Here are some photos of the old Lectrons that i used on the oddy and Maicos, the bell mouths have been turned down to fit the air box boots, originally these were 2 1/2 inch.

Mikuni uses the same setup and they call it a power jet.

They work great! Only time I ever had to pull the carb and change the slow jet was when I went over 5500 foot elevation in Alb, NM! I've riden all over the states!

Never had a bad issue with the little filter other than maintaining them! By lots of extras! Or use a lawnmower sizes fuel filter

I had my tube strip in the bell of my carb then back out and I started sucking in the fine LS Oklahoma sand. I made several fuel adjustments, fouled 3 plugs, and was changing my 2nd main jet before I figued out what had happened. I ran the rest of the week with it blocked off with about 85lbs of compression left. Ran OK but wouldn't idle.

The system works well enough for adjusting for altitude n weather changes. That is the only bad story I have ever had with it.
