I think i have heard some things on this before but i am old and forget!!!

1. are the shoulder straps suppose to come up and over or come from even or above and down to the lap buckel??

2. in the picture below do you think the smaller bar above the the bar currently holding the shoulder strap is strong enough to hold the shoulder straps??

ps i just thru in the other picture for fun

It may be strong enough ,depending on the crash but position would worry me.
It looks like it would allow the body to move upward,maybe a little to far.
The lower bar where you have it is similar to the stock setup and should keep you down in the seat .
5pt. or just a stock 4 pt. harness ?

currently on the the shoulder and lap belts - nothing between the legs??
