First off guys I would like to thank all of the people that make this sight I have two fl350 and I have used this page for a ton of info. When you search for what you want to know you can find pretty much everything. I will have a lot more questions to come but I will get this out of the way first. I just got back from a trip to Pismo beach with a fresh standard bore weisco piston in my fl and she ran like a champ for about 4 of the 7 days. One morning the thing would not start from the started it was like the battery was dead. I looked over everything and did some checking and in fact the battery was only at 11 volts and some change. I have no way to charge it so I just ended up pull starting it the rest of the time we were there. I also thought that once it start it would charge on its own like a car so I had my girlfriend rev it up and I checked the voltage at the battery with no change at all. I work on cars all the time and normally once everything is fired up your looking at 13 to 14 volts under normal rpm. My question is how do I check this system. I know the stator has the power to run the
CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) and coil because once pull started I had zero issues. Also once I got back into town I charged the battery and did a normal draw test and it passed with flying colors. I am running a odyssey pc310 battery and I have never had any problems with it. When you need to pick up a new battery I would say take a look at them they are hands down the best battery I have ever used for atv's I have been running this one for 5 years now with no issues what so every that is why my original thought was the battery quite on me. This thing is so good my rail died on my out in the dune and I was about to jump it with this tiny battery. Anyway any help would be great on the charging topic. Thanks again
