I am looking for any help finding shortcuts in getting the parts together that you need for a rebuild. I Know I will need any # of gaskets, orings, etc. and some experience that I lack. I just lost my leg below the knee in a SX accident at Gatorback a few months ago, and this has become my new direction in life to fill that adrenaline void. I have a track in the yard, and I need that moto-therapy!
The new odyssey is completely stock (other than the wiseco piston, and it's all intact, runs pretty good, but I don't feel comfortable running it hard without inspecting all of the components first. I already have leaks in the gaskets, and the thing is almost 30 years old. I plan on keeping it forever....or should I sell it while it is still running and hold out for a pilot???

Sorry to hear about your injury glad to see your still in the game.

I started a page here to help address finding parts for the FL350 feel free to contribute as you buy parts to help keep it active and updated. viewforum.php?f=64

Post up some pics of your ride.

I wish you good luck with the recovery.
A fellow co worker lost his leg at work in 1979. I helped get him out. Seen him several years back and he walks just fine, you can't even tell he has a prosthetic. He's a school teacher now.

You asked if you should sell and get a pilot.
If one is available at a good price I would buy that over the fl350.
I own two fl350 and for some reason I have trouble keeping them running. Some of it is my lack of knowledge on these machines but have learned a lot here. From what I read here the fl400 is far superior than the fl350.

Sorry to hear about your accident, but you have the right thing in mind (Keep Living). My sons were both in the war and were injured several times. But they figured out very fast to keep living just like you have.
As for parts I have just rebuilt my 350 Engine and I ordered all of my parts from oddatv1. So far I haven't found anything wrong with any one of the parts. Some don't like him and some do. He gave me a good price for a complete kit, all bearings, seals, gaskets piston and rings. New rod and bearings the whole works. I liked it because it was like a one stop for all that I needed. Another place that I have found is http://www.ridersdicount.com do a little looking and stay with this board and you can get all of the help you need. Great place and good people. Any way I can Help let me know. Thanks Billy
