I recently purchased an fl250. After approximately five minutes of riding, it acts as though it is running out of fuel. After setting a couple of minutes it runs fine for about another five minutes. It seems like a vapor lock kind of condition?? Any insight would be appreciated. I am new to this kind of thing. Thanks for your response.

are you sure its not getting too much fuel? when i rebuilt my carb, i didnt tighten everything down, and some things came loose and caused that to happen

to see if its getting too much fuel, when it starts to do that, shut off the fuel valve and see if it runs better

and does it just die?

Check the fuel filter and check the gas tank for rust. That would be a good starting place.
