None of my 350 drivens have a hole to spread it open. I just pull the belt on to the edge of the driven while spinning it by hand. It should spin all the way off then slide the belt around the drive clutch. The new belt goes on in the reverse order and should be slightly higher than the outer lips of the driven. I have been doing it that way for years and is quick and easy and you don't need any tools.

I will look at it when I get around to putting it on. I used to be a mechanic at a go-kart park and we had some high performance karts that used the comet clutch but we had the motors on hinge setup so we could adjust belt play and make it easier to take the belt on and off. Its odd Honda didnt allow for the same thing. Thanks for the reply guys.
