On our last ride of the season my brother crashed the oddzilla #2 hard.
The sad part is this machine was the nice one. All fenders in perfect shape and no rust on frame.
He did a triple flip (one in mid air) and took out the right front corner.
Smashed the front wheel into the frame. The damages were: Bent top J arm mount, bent J arm, bent bottom ball joint, all 4 fender damaged or destroyed, bent exhaust, one shock damaged and leaking. Here are some pictures of the repair. I can't believe how thin the wall is on the pipe. The frame I made with the comealong on it that you see in the pics did not work. I still had to cut the pipes and remove the Honda brace. Looks like I will add some triangle braces as well to help with strength. It is not completed yet, I got all winter.

A few more.
Even though the frame is made of thin wall mild steel tubing I am amazed at how strong it really is.

Yeah I know. I am mad to because it was on the roof when I came around the corner and he was just climbing out. Flipped it on its wheels before I could get a pic.

I like the pulling rig

but in pic 20141205_131225.jpg it looks like the shaft is bent downwards

did you put the cuts in to help it straighten the shaft

Shaft is not bent downward. The picture just makes it look like that.
I did have to cut the top tube and the one coming down from the very top (the small hooked tube).
There was just no way I could pull it. By the way the pulling rig you see didn't work because when I heated the tube the only thing that started to bend was the tube that the rig was bolted to. I ended up hooking the come a long to my truck and the back end of oddy to hoist post.
