After about 1/2 an hour of riding trails @ part to 1/2 throttle, and coming to a long run and kick it up to full throttle, my fl 350 bogs then dies, and wont restart for about 2-5 min.
Question: Is this a sign of pump failure?
Vapour lock from warm/hot Engine?
If anyone has had this problem I would appreciate the help.

I had the same problem several years back and it turned out to be bottom end main seals. What was happening was after the Engine got hot the seals got soft, it allowed enough pressure to leak out that the Engine quit running. After it cooled some , the seals hardened enough to refire the Engine. I also had several top end rebuilds during that time because the Engine leaned out so much, it seized the piston.

I would do a leak-down test first to be sure. That is a good starting place. Do a compression test and post back. It could be something else, but it sounds like the problem I had. Good luck, Gary

Will it rev to wide open after its cooled down? It almost sounds like you had a seizure.......I would take the carb/reed cage and the pipe off to check out the piston.

when it dies the Engine slows down as you give it gas for wide open throttle. After I get it to restart it has all the power it ever did at full throttle, its just on the odd occasion from part to full throttle that it dies.

Soon as it dies you need to verify the level of fuel in the float bowl you can
do this by carefully removing the carb then while holding it upright remove
the screws for the float bowl and lower it slowly so you don't spill any
fuel if there is any in the carb, you can also make a sight tube by drilling
a small hole in the cap that goes on the bottom of the float bowl then insert
a fitting you can attack a clear hose on, I like the snowmobile primer hose
think it is 1/8" the fuel level will seek the same level as found in the carb..

You will want to route the end of the tube up high enough the fuel cant
spill out and protect it from dirt- water.
