K i wanted some opinions on how possible you think this would be, i just picked up my first fl250 project for $50, i build motorcycles, but never had a gokart, anyways for that price i got one frame, 2 engines, 2 drive shaft/transmissions and 2 sets of tires.. Mind you its all in pretty bad condition, engines will need full rebuild.. Heres what i have in mind

First i want to hinge the rear end off to get some kind of suspension, i have some left over shocks from a yamaha blaster that should work, then i want to spin the Engine around so that its clutch belt thing what ever that's called is on the inside, so that i can mount the other Engine out the other side and have both drive shafts right next to each other in the middle
Then take both my drive axles, cut the one side off and mount both trannies on the inside, so both engines will be completly seperate from each other, this will also make the rear axle quite a bit wider, but i feel like itd make it quite a bit more peppy

And then i also have the thought of splitting the rear end down the middle and not welding the axles together, leaving them seperate, so that the rear would have independent suspension, where each leg of the suspension has its own Engine.. But i see a problem of pulling to one side if one Engine revs up faster then the other

Or theres the idea of mounting the other Engine tranny in the front and making it 4 wheel drive.. But then steering would be difficult..

or pick up a 440 rotax and have more power and reliability than 2 FL250 engines

I would second this comment.
Why not make it stock?? You will never get your money out of it if you ever decide to sell if you do it your way. Cheapest option is stock with one Engine and it will still be real fun. If you really want a rocket look for the cheapest fl350 you can find and rotax it. You will easy get your money back and it already has suspension. If you are like me and like working on them more than driving them then do it your way but you better be ready to spend some dough and time.

The Rotax 440 Engine seems to be a popular way to go, however; keep in mind that its about 2~3x more powerful than a stock fl250 motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )). What that means is it could pose a great hazard or danger to an already extremely unstable ATV. Just a warning.

You'll also need more than just a long-block. You'll need everything from the electronics, carbs, exhaust manifolds, and clutch to pull-starter. You basically need a doner snowmobile just to be sure. I've been thinking about this for my own needs (after I toast my perfectly running 350 Engine) but the more I look into it the more effort in the end it's going to take /sigh.

Ya.. Sometimes my brain just starts spinning and i think of these awesome ideas until i step back and realize how stupid they are lol, i was looking at independant suspension off a crashed 4 wheeler on top of everything.. So i decided its all a bad idea, just gonna clean it and restore to original.. Maybe change the color at the most and try and make a little money off it to get something bigger to fill my adrenaline needs

Plus i can keep the 2nd Engine and drive train for some random project ill have later down the road i bet
