Top speed of an oddy on a flat paved road is confirmed at 64 mph.
(unless my truck speedo and a garmin gps are both lying)

I would think tire size would play a roll.

Sounds about right. I clocked my Fl350 (on stock tires & wheels) @66mph using gps on a paved road. Clocked my Pilot also at 66 mph on same gps but was an unpaved road so i suspect its closer to 70mph on a paved surface.

I had my odyssey hit 69 on the GPS. It was about a 1/2 mile WOT (Wide Open Throttle) on pavement. Slight downhill. It had 22" rear tires(as fatory labeled, never measured exactly but they do vary)and was turning 8100-8200rpm(can't remember but it was really screaming). I believe a guy could come up with some sort of formula with tire diameter, transmission ratio, and Engine rpm to figure out top speeds. Does top speed really matter though? How often do you need to run it as fast as it will go. I just did it out of curiosity.

I hear ya. I had the opportunity to do it.....once.

I had to chase down two idiots on quads who took the wrong road. I'll tell you one thing, drifting corners at 60 plus mph is exciting.
