My starter went first, now the pull rope came all unraveled and wouln't go back in. What is the best kind of rope to use? Any help on starter would be appreciated also.
Thanks in advance

Here is a link to my 350 starter page (started not finished yet) it includes links to other 350 starter solutions. http://pilotodyssey.com/350starter.htm

I like the replacement rope you get from Honda its the right diameter, strength and texture,
seems other hardware store ropes you can find are never the right diameter, some are too
stiff where others are a loose weave and allow more dirt and dust to get into the rope over
time and stiffen up.

Wire cable is a good alternative. , It won't break on you but it will wear out the pully and gromets etc. inside the housing. Many of us just use the electric start and when that fails they pull on the dry rotted rope and it breaks, now your left in the middle of the woods. But like Hoser said the oem makes the best fitting replacement parts.
