I welded a fender myself. Not the prettiest looking thing lol

So my foot tub is great but it have a decent crack in it. Can I get it plastic welded? And if I can Where would i take it? Has anyone ever had their foot tub plastic welded? |

I had my brothers fenders and foot tub welded after a crash. It was nicely done but cost big bucks because fenders were destroyed. They put all the pieces back together. My foot tub turned out good too. You will have to find a place near you that builds plastic tanks for water, fuel, sewer. Any irrigation joint near you will know where to get it done. A crack in a foot tub would be cheap. |

Sorry to bring this up again, but I'm having trouble finding a place to weld my tub. And after the minor crash i had it has 2 more cracks... Can someone give me a name of a place? |

That is the one I use. What I do is melt the screen in on the back side. Make sure you have it tight together before heating. Go slow and work in in to the plastic being careful not to over heat and change color. Then use the repair plastic provided to over lay the welded area doing this again on the back side. I do this for cracks before the become big rips that would require a speed type fix. Another tip: cut you screen in a thin srip to cover 1/2" on each side of split or one inch wide. Once that is melted in and you smooth out the a wider strip can be added with filler rod provided or add filler and then melt in the wider strip again coving an 1/2" more than before or 2" wide piece. Than smooth out and paint and done. Or leave in sanded. Practice on a piece of something to get a idea on how and how much heat before using on your good part. Another tip: once you get it tacked in place or screen melted in you can go back and smooth it out quicker than trying to do it at time of screen insert. Try not to distort the front side of panel. I use this kit to fix every thing from cordless drills that get broke to pilot fenders to fun add on parts. Heck I even fixed the water pump on my tile saw that got dropped. 100 in uses. Best part cheap to buy. |

I've used this stuff on my helmet visor after a crash and it actually is stronger than the unbroken piece... Whats the worst thing that could happen if it doesn't work? |
