Running leckich setup in Oddy. Have paperwork on jug and piston. Pulled top end down to testing noticed piston doesn't have hole like paperwork says it needs. Just wanting to verify. Here's pic of paperwork. Piston is wiseco 81.5 but without hole shown on paperwork. Will this make performance difference?

That looks like the holes are to lighten the piston, I don't think the wiseco pistons have that.

Didn't know if it helped on intake charge like on the pilot piston if so my machinist friend could do my wiseco like it shows. Just didn't know if any noticeable performance gain.

Any ideas on this? Going to hone and put new rings in this upcoming week. Paperwork for motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) shows hole and placement in piston. Should I modify piston or not? Any performance increase?

70 views and only 3 comments, and two of them were yours. Nobody commenting cause I think nobody is sure. I don't know either. But the way I see it, if you have a drawing and it is for your Engine then why not do what the Engine builder intended ?? Could it hurt ?? It works on a Pilot Engine.

I agree. Gonna do it and see if I see any noticeable difference. Surely I will because pilot is done this way!

don't forget to relieve the exhaust bridge.

Some of his engines are a piston port design. While others have reed valves. The piston "port" would need to be machined into the new piston if yours doesn't have a reed valve.
