So, recently (around January or so) we bought a bone-stock 1985 FL250, it ran great for a couple months aside from some minor problems (steering linkage got cracked...). We started it up one day and the starter rope just pulled out like nothing and came flying right out, the rope was severed. So I took it apart a bit later (unbolted the Engine from its motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) mounts and jacked it up so the starter would clear the frame and I could take it off). Got that off, took it apart, it did go flying everywhere but I managed to get it all back together and replace the rope (had to recoil the recoil spring however). Put it back together exactly the way it was, with the new rope. I re-assembled the whole thing and went to try and start it up only to figure out that I could pull it out 3 inches or so (haw-haw) but then it got completely stuck and wouldn't budge. I'm fairly sure the Engine isn't seized up, it's ran okay a bunch of times and only sat like a week or so. Can anybody maybe give me some guidance on what's going on here?
