Well I'm tired of trying to find a good petcock. Its time to make one. It should be easy

Nice mock up. Looks good.

Have you thought about sealing the stock location with a plate or something and adding a generic aftermarket petcock to the bottom of the tank somewhere?

I like this idea but I still can't picture it in my mind.
How is this going to go into the tank ??

It does not go into the tank. the hard lines are already there. this will replace the stock petcock. I thought about blocking off the original and welding in a new one but then it has to be at the bottom and you lose the reserve. Just picture it as the same shape as the base of the petcock. this is a side view.

Ok I got it now.
I thought your lines were corroded up and you were building a new pickup system.
I like your idea though -- good one.

If you were to plumb a new one straight up from the bottom you could have a reserve, as generic motorcycle petcocks work this way.


Not to take away from your idea though, again, very cool.
