I had some old angle iron and some caster laying around so I decided to build a workstand for my Pilot. It was good practice as I needed to work on my welding skills. A coat of Rustoleum Sunrise Red paint and it'll be good to go. The only bitch is getting the Pilot up onto the stand, gotta jack the entire machine way up in the air (requires two jacks) and then slide stand underneath.

I'll probbaly swap out these casters for heavier duty ones as these are from a gas grill and probably not designed to support 600 plus pounds - but so far so good.

After I was done fabricating this I saw that Pep Boys has a ATV jack on sale for $59.99! haha! Wish I would have seen that two days earlier...

Here is a link to the Pep Boys ATV jack:

Nice job!

I still drag mine around caveman style lucky for me my shop is big enough
I don't have to move them that often, I will have to look into the 59.00 ATV jack...

Once hoser's magic bus project is done hopefully I can store them in the bus and
recoup 16x20 of shop floor space :- )

I will add a link to his page with MGR's work stands http://pilotodyssey.com/pilotstand.htm

Nice! Got any dimensions we could cut out and weld one together with? I need one that will fit a 350 and a Pilot dual purpose stand.

No problem Bill - I'll take some more pics with dimensions today... I do not have specs on the FL350 stand. Matbe someone else can get you those.

Here are the specs... It's a crude rendering but I think these are all of the measurements you would need to fabricate a Pilot workstand. I'm not sure how you would need to modify this to make this a dual purpose (FL400 & FL350) stand.

Hey guys. I picked up one of those ATV Jacks from PepBoys. I don't like it b/c only 2 wheels turn and it makes it difficult to manover the Ody around in tight spaces. Other than that it was good buy for the price.... I actually preffer a nice moving dolly with a few old tires on top. That seems to work the best.

can you change out the two imovable castors for ones that will rotate and lock ?
How high does it lift the frame - 12-18" ?

Thanks for the drawing. That will greatly simplify building one the next time I'm in need. If I figure out the dimensions for one to fit an FL350 before anyone else here does, I will come back here and post the measurements. Thanks again, Bill..
