I'm getting confused on your belt size. Are you running OEM clutch or aftermarket? I believe they require different sizes of belts. Better make sure what you have before you order.

A picture of your drive clutch may help.

I believe oem clutch. Like I said I have the 1/1/4" belt width and its tight but its not so tight that I couldnt get it on the clutches so I think the 1" belt will fix my problems.

I am still confused though. The belt I have is 1"1/4"×42"1/8 the one that should be on is 1"×41"1/4" isnt that gonna be just as tight? Yes its a 1/4" skinnier but its also 7/8" shorter would that not make it tight also?

The clutches are designed for cretin width belts. Going to a narrower belt will change ur shift points and it will sit too low in ur driven clutch. Im no expert on this so I'd wait for someone more knowledgeable I'm just trying to keep u from wasting money on a belt that won't perform properly.
Also u will need to re shim the drive clutch or it won't move until it really revs up.

The length is 41 and 1/2" -- NOT 41 and 1/4"

Like FloridaEdd said -- I am no expert either so I hope someone else with more know how will chime in. But the info above is the best I could find and figure out. The last two links that I provided seem to be the best for info. Here it is again in case you missed it: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2686&hilit=belt+width+FL250

Even if its 41"1/2" that's still 5/8" shorter than the 42"1/8" I have on it currently. So being 1/4" skinnier than current but 5/8" shorter I'm having trouble seeing how its gonna make a difference? I'm not trying to out smart anyone I'm just going off the measurements and in my head it don't make sense

If I was you I would confirm what clutch I have, then order the correct belt for that clutch. I have never ordered a belt by size - I simply order by application.

How about a photo of your drive clutch. This will help determine if it is OEM or aftermarket.

No offense taken here. I know your not trying to out smart anyone.
This site is about helping out.

Like rmesser said -- you better confirm what you got first.

I don't know if I am correct in my belt length statements and your analysis of belt width vs length may not be that far off, but what you got now ain't working is it ??

Your carb pilot circuit is plugged.
I know you said you cleaned it but I feel it is still plugged. Your choke circuit was supplying the fuel.
One of my first comments on the first page was carb.
You need to pull the jets and blow air into each and every hole. There MUST be air coming out of another hole when you do this. If not then a circuit is blocked.

Alright I will do that today and also i had it running ans sprayed carb cleaner to check for any big leaks and when I sprayed it on the exhaust it killed it. The exhaust didnt have the fibre seal ring so its sucking in a lot of air which is a huge problem in itself

I highly recommend you pressure/vacuum test this Engine before you even start it again.
Because right now you have no idea where you are at with this thing.
