I have been looking for a M14x2.0 barbed fitting for my "No Case Modification Vent Tube" about since November of 2009! This is the fitting which installs in place of the dip stick for my vent modification.

Well I finally found it.

I'll let everyone know how it works out once I receive it.

I'm not familiar what does this piece allow you to do?
Thx!

As some of you might remember, I designed a vent mod system which screwed into the dip stick hole. The dip stick hole is a very unusual M14x2.0 thread. Well its not unusual if your a wheel stud. Anyway, the only fitting I could find that I could find off the shelf was a fitting from a Ford F150 radiator petcock. The modification to the petcock required the grinding off of the thumb tabs, drilling out the inside of the petcock and then running a die over the outside of the petcock so that a female barbed hose fitting could be placed over the top.

Anyway, this "white whale fitting" is off the shelf and looks looks it will only require a washer under it so it doesn't squish out the O-ring used to seal it.

If I get around to it, I'll take some pictures of the fitting installed.

Here is a link to the original development of the vent mod.
