So I decided to build the famed 3rd link. I know
speedchaser has done it and I hope he can chime in.

Here is the missing third link or shock saver by Neanderthal engineering north of the border.
What do you guys think ?? Would it work ??
By the way it became real obvious to me that the ends must be hiem joints. There was some binding because the bottom tab could not pivot.
This is just a proof of concept idea but it seemed to work.
It is pure bolt on (no welding).
I have no plans to continue with this because I don't want to buy rod ends.
May be
Dave-co will pick it up.
your set up will bind way to much
you need to take a old stock shock and take the spring off and drain all the oil
the shock is one of the pivot points and you will need it in there to test for bind on the axle
I done this before you will need your heims joints on the center line of the u joints on the axle or it will bind
been there done that it will bind But can be done
The Heims joints need to be in the same center line as the u joints on the axle. Or it will bind then it will put strain on the u joint

So this is what I got and I'm kinda stumped at where to put the pivot points that it wont bind. The suspension seems to move in a strange radius. I was going to mount a steel plate in the back tube held on by U-bolts (I don't have a welder yet) flat accoss the back.

I used 3/16", 3x3 angle iron. its mounted at about a 15* angle from the bearing carrier. The bolt hole should be horizontally center with the axle.

This is difficult to measure. I'm unsure how to measure the center of the u joint to the frame. I need more tools/brains.
I am also unsure if the pivot in my angle iron bracket is center either.
Any tips?
