So I'm always pulling the ends off of my sparkplug wires when trying to remove them from my plugs. Yes I have the tool but the plugs are way down in there and I always destroy at least one.
My question is can I use the NGK type of push on the wire type Plug caps I always used on my dirt bikes etc.
Would be cheaper then a set of ceramic capped wires.

Just as a guess, I would say it would be fine to change them out. Looks like the ceramic is used as a heat insulator due to the location of the turbo.

Its not that expensive to give it a try. It may cook the spark plug insulator and cause a misfire.

Take this advise with a grain of salt..... I'm not a Chevy Geo mechanic! LOL

That was my thinking but nice to know someone else thinks like I do. Melting may be an issue but I'll find out.
I was thinking the ceramic would hold the crimp end securely but I just don't have the money right now.
I appreciate the input.

If you can get to it, you could also heat wrap the exhaust piping closest to the turbo. That should shield quite a bit of the heat.
