good evening
I have a project pilot here with a totally rusted and seized lower end, badly rusted might I add. My dilemma is it seized up where I cannot get the balancer out, meaning I cant split the cases due to this. I don't have torched here and have soaked for a week on PB BLASTER TO NO AVAIL.tHE CRANK is probably junk, so I don't care if I damage it as I have plenty here and 3 going to Speedchaser. Any ideas on how I can get the crank to turn jut enough so that balancer will be free.

Keep soaking it with PB Blaster and do not go Cave Man on it :-)

Any pictures of this new project?

They make a chemical called "Evapo-Rust" that i have used on some stuck parts. It doesn't attack aluminum. I soaked a fl250 piston rod with a suck piston and pin on it to free up the bearing. I can't say it worked flawlessly, but it did free up the bearing so that it would spin. No damage to the aluminum at all.

While letting blaster soak in tap it with a hammer every time u walk past it. This slight jolt helps to work the blaster into every nook and cranny.

Speedchaser recommended a product as well but warned of damage to the cases which i tested and imo thought it might damge them so thanks for the help will see if i can purchase locally.
The pb blaster frees the rod up on the crank however

Hoser will post pics in the section today

Try using this instead of the pb blaster. I've had good success using this on horribly rusted parts.
