Hey guys,
I'm looking for a replacement part for the pull rope guide tube. Just curious what others have used in the past or if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks, Curtis

I have been sitting here having my breakfast and have been giving this some thought.
Why not eliminate #17 all together ?? You could use a rubber grommet that fits into the hole on #10. Then drill three very small holes in it for tie wire to hold grommet in place.

Stupid idea you say -- well how about some shrink tube that fits over #15 and then tie wrap onto #15.
At the other end you would need a hose that fits on #10 but small enough to fit inside that shrink tube. A bit of silicone and a heat gun to shrink it together. Any quality industrial electrical shop will have shrink tube.

Not sure if these are any options for you though. Just what comes to my mind right off the bat.

I have been sitting here by the pool havin a cider or 6 and remember using an auto heater hose.Mine from mem was from a vt v6 commodore 1998 model.similar to your Buick v6.
Because 1 end is larger that fits over the recoil housing spigot and the other end was smaller and good for the handle and rope fixture end piece.Worked well.If I find a piece in the shed I'll post a pic.

Obviously you had more than 6.
You can't remember that you posted that already the first time :-)

I like the bike tube idea, that's a good one!

I found these that are still available for the FL250. They are shorter but should work. The gentleman that owns the web site said some people use 2 of them. Cut the top off one and use the bottom of the other, small piece of plastic tube within them and use 2 zip ties to hold it all together. I ordered 2 of them so will let you know how it works out.

The guide tube from the FL250 is about half the length of the FL350 so you would definitely need to use two of them as described above. Bike tube and 2 zip ties seems like a much cheaper solution and would serve the same purpose.
