Does polishing your ports gain you flow ??

Not worth the hassles from what I see.
Matching the components to minimize your turbulence would be at the top of my list before I polish.

my understanding is that polishing the exhaust port is good, not necessarily to a mirror finish but on the intake it is better to have a not so smooth surface, you do want smooth transitions, you'll need to research to see if I'm full of it or not and the reasons why

I agree with Kuma,,From my understanding a little turbulence in the intake side helps to mix the fuel and air.
I do intake and exhaust I just don't polish the intake side as much as the exhaust.
Gasket matching is a must even if u don't port and polish.
