I see that adnoh has signed in today so I want to bring this thread back to life.

Basically what I have settled for with my #145 springs is that I am running a big spacer which is putting 3/4" of preload on this spring to keep it from bottoming out on our usual rides.

There is 1 3/8" of sag travel on this spring the way it sits. Not sure what that works out to in actual suspension travel.
These are 10" springs --- and the way it sits it now measures 8 5/8".
So even with 3/4" of preload the arse still hangs low 1 3/8" for some sag travel.
I think these springs may be a bit on the soft side but it is a nice ride and don't bottom out much.
It only seems to bottom when I go through a washout in the road and I hit it harder than I should.
These numbers are not with me sitting in the machine. Just the way is sits in the shop.

Even though I am a flea weight rider I think I will be ordering a slightly stiffer spring next time. I am leaning towards around #160 ??
I may order some new springs this winter and put these on the death machine.
Will wait for adnoh to comment before I make any decision.
CO

CO, what position is you preload adjuster on.
That is one reason I mentioned a dual rate set up in liue of a single spring with a apacer and look at the bottom out poundage
I will enter your info in the work sheet and see where your at.
