first time posting, after many years of wanting one I finally picked up a fl350 today! Or at leas that’s what the guy told me it was. I started noticing that the chassi is not a normal looking odyssey, it’s all 1 piece (not bolted together) and has a slightly different shape especially in the front than “normal” fl’s. I attached some pictures I’m hoping someone can identify this beast. Sorry some of those pictures aren’t the best I can take more tomorrow if need be. Thanks in advance!

Strange that they went through all that trouble, but left FL 350 suspension.

I was wondering if it was used for some type of racing class, and the stock suspension design was required? It does have upgraded shocks of some type.

That could be, I found some old footage of an off-road race from 1986. Several of the chassis looked like this one but I couldn’t find any with the fiberglass bodie like this one has... whoever did the work knew what they were doing the welds are beautiful. Unfortunately I did not get the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) with it, but was told it used to have a cr-500 in it. I’m looking for a snowmobile for cheap as it seams like this will be the easiest swap.

Thank you, I just looked it up and it looks just like that, that would explain the faded decals and numbers on the body work. I figured it must’ve been a race machine. I can’t believe how light it is either.

My friend has one all the down here in Mississippi, he got his from a guy that used to race boats with the people from Hillside Honda. I'm not sure about this but I have heard that hillside only made a dozen or so. His had a kleam research h20 head and airbox and other that the chassis pretty much stock with works shocks.

I don’t know if mine has works shocks or not, they look really nice though and are daul rate, and in serious need of a rebuild. They have remote resoviors also. I’m not planning on changing the frame demensions however I need a motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) for it...is this chassis valuable in the sense that I shouldn’t modify it?
