I have a new piston and ring kit. The piston doesn't seem to have any arrows on it. Can anyone tell me how to properly get the front and back right?

If there is a window on the piston, that goes toward the intake side.

Also piston ring locator pins. These go toward the intake ports.

I suggest installing the piston and cylinder dry and without RINGS installed. Make sure at TDC (Top Dead Center) the exhaust port is completely covered. Also verify the ring locator pins are always covered and not running across an open part of the intake ports. The pin needs to always be covered by actual cylinder wall.

What brand piston is it that you are using?
