New to the group,just got a 81 fl250 that wasn't running,rebuilt the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )),new stator coil,pulse coil,CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) unit,it will start and idle,but once the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) reaches a certain rpm,it idles high and fuel runs out of the vent tube,any ideas? Also,is it bad to run the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) without a belt?thanks

You need a fresh carb rebuild kit and make sure you clean that carburetor very well. Blow compressed air through all passages/lines and carb cleaner. Use OEM style rebuild kits and matched OEM Keihin jets only. Make sure you also get a new needle/seat so it stops overflowing.
