Can someone explain the benefits of a Comet over stock? Is it simply easier adjustment? Aren't they both adjusted by pucks? Trying to understand why so many people rave about these things.

Can’t speak for the Comet as I’ve only used Power blocks on Pilots. Yes, you can tune the clutch(primary) for engagement rpm with discs. The more you add the higher your rpm before the clutch starts working. I played with mine a little but I’m my opinion one of the best upgrades you can get. Add a pipe and CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) that’s had the rev limiter raised and it’s easier to stay up on the rpm’s and a lot more fun to drive.

Can the adjustments not be done to the stock clutch?

The stock pilot clutch as it sits is not adjustable. If you talk to Chris from CW racing he has a mod that makes them adjustable. I was on th phone with him a few weeks ago and he told me about it. I don’t know anymore than that as far as what he does or a price

Tell me more about these aftermarket CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition)'s. Who makes 'em and for which vehicles? 350 or 400?

I am starting to understand the idea of keeping the rev's up. I notice how quickly things go sour when the rev's start to decline on a steeper incline.

I only know of them for the pilot.
At one time atv racing sold them(they have changed their name I can’t recall who they are now.
You see them on eBay occasionally.
