I have a gen 2 fl250 just finished restoring it and it ran fairly good. It seemed the idle was a bit rough. I used it for about a week and then It wouldn't spark. I thought I had a bad coil and bought a new one. It ran after that for about 1 hour then the same issue. I am not too familiar with these. I am getting fuel and the stator checks out with the multi meter. I am getting some resistance between stator ground and the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) case, this seems wrong. This has a CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) which I think is good, but I don't know how to test it. The ignition swith checks out and I tried just unplugging the wires to make sure. This has a starter on it but I don't have it tied into a charging unit yet. Any Ideas? I did some searches and didnt find any clear answers. Thanks

Welcome new guy.
This site is very very slow now. You have to wait for answers sometimes.

Here is a very good thread you may want to read: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18349

The best way to find something here is to use the search box above.
In the search box type ONE word ONLY and hit enter. If you don't you will get to many hits.
When the list of threads comes up there will be another search box there on the right.
In that box type ONE word ONLY. Keep doing this as many times as you want until you have narrowed it down. Some common words will be ignored like "Engine" "Honda" etc.
Also at the very bottom of any thread you read will be an area where there a similar threads to the one you are reading. You can click on them to read.

I am a millwright and NOT an electron mechanic so I can't really help you on this.

Have you tried unscrewing the spark plug boot and trimming a little off the wire and reconnecting to make sure you have a good connection with the spark plug wire and boot? Just thinking out loud ... good luck and welcome to the site
