Hi,

We do not drive much so yearly our car puts around 6K. We have a Honda Odyssey and Camry.

Car experts - do you guys recommend to change the Cabin Air Filter yearly even though I have no driven that much? Or should I wait till it reaches 10K?

Any suggestions would be helpful?

Thanks,

Hello, this site is dedicated to the Honda Odyssey (1979-1984) fl250, (1985) fl350, (1989-1990) pilot, plus a plethora of other off road buggy related topics......BUT.......

This is probably the most user friendly site as well. To answer your question, if you are not doing a lot of driving in smog or dust, then you should be ok not changing it out every year. What does the owners manual say about when to change it?

Personally I have changed the cabin air filter in my truck and van maybe once in the last 100,000 miles....but I do not live near a large city or smoggy area.

Anyone else have any advice?

Here in Phoenix I'm pretty regular, I keep a note on my whiteboard as to the date they were last changed in my vehicles. It's a big dust bowl after all :-)

You can also get a K&N cabin air filter, one that is washable/reusable. I put this in my Prius, without knowing the years of your vehicles you'll have to narrow it down yourself:

They also sell a recharge kit you can use once it gets dirty. When it's brand new you just install it, no need to pre-treat it or anything.

I'd judge your cabin air filter change by your environment (desert/lake front/high mountains/etc) and by looks. Just pull it out and see if it needs it :-)
