Hey guys

Anyone ever add a resistor to the fan switch wiring to lower the temps that it comes off/on? I'd like to see the fan come on around 130.

The only way to do this would be to replace the thermoswitch at the bottom of the Radiator. I used one from this company with proper fittings it works very well.

Those are also the same temp sensors I used in my FL350. I just swapped the radiator one from a 170 to a 150, no spill. I love how easy they are to change.

As far as the bung, I have no idea. I had to use a metric to npt adapter for my radiator though. Here's a link to what I used:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DN ... UTF8&psc=1

The Yamaha Grizzly radiator I used on my FL350 was pre-tapped at M18X1.5, that's why I went with this adapter. Maybe you'll get lucky, but I'd bet dollars to donuts the existing threads in yours are metric.

EDIT: Here's a closeup of the whole she-bang in action, you can see it's pretty deep into the water jacket this way:

the radiator on an fl400 is 16mm x1.5 straight male thread with a crush washer. It is not pipe thread.

You’ll need;
1. Thermoswitch of choice from America volt
2. Switch Adapter to 1/8npt thread from America volt
3. 1/8npt to 16mm x 1.5 brass adapter from here: https://www.amazon.com/GlowShift-Female ... B00NWZZBS6

Wow. Thank you both.

This will alleviate some stress when out on the Pilot.
