I have been removing old product stickers, graffixs & vinyl tiles from the exterior & interior of my trailer & they have left behind a glue residue.

I'm looking for a good product for removing these glues from painted aluminum & bare plywood.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

I've used Goo off & Oops but it is really slow.

Carb or brake cleaner?

Try a automotive paint dealer?

There is a product available at professional auto paint stores that works geat. Sorry I don't know the name but i think its made by 3M. I have also seen a similar product at AutoZone that is an aerosol made for bumpber stickers. All of the products Ive used require turning the rag frequently to keep from spreading the softned adhesive around.

i would do a test spot before using anything

Lacquer thinner is the do all of the body shop world but becareful cause it can take EVERYTHING off.

vinagar is also a good solvent for some glues, i usually pull stickers off with out of those Sticker Erasers that you stick in the end of a drill, use that then a wipe with cheapo lacquer thinner from homo de pot

I use either WD-40 or automotive Bug and Tar remover - both work great on painted surfaces but I'm not sure about bare wood. Like Hare said, test on small area first.

I've found using a heat gun or a hair dryer (on highest heat setting) to warm the decal, prior to removal, works well without the need for glue/residue removers.

Well my all time favorite solvent is MEK or Acetone, but i'd test it first. If not that then GOOP/WD40 or even Denatured Alcohol works well.

Nice trailer!
