Most of us here already know this, but for the new members or those who don't, here are a couple of pics to tell. This is a real easy check on a ride as well, just by looking at it.
Below are two pics.
One is a new belt I just put on and it's well above the driven shiv. I laid a machinist square on top of it so you can see better.
The other pic shows the belt well below the driven shiv. This one is almost toast as I could here and feel it slipping bad on the ride home.

Any idea how many hours are on the worn belt? How about on your machines in general?

on the worn pic, are you sure the shives are fully closed? I think depending if the machine was turned off in gear or allowed to spin down could make a difference, a new belt will be noticeably better in grip.
I can't do that on mine I'm using a wide sled belt, it rides up high on the driven clutch, at first I thought it might be an issue but it did well last year so I think we're good, I am using a sled drive clutch which takes the wide belt.

Sorry no idea on how many hours on that belt.
I think it's been two years since last belt. Most rides are about 5 hrs. Number of rides per yr vary depending on weather, work etc.

I think you got your moneys worth out of that belt :-)
I don't think I ever actually wore out a belt, they usually self destruct
most have some warranty and I have returned them after exploding and received replacements, probably just waring out would not be returnable.
