I have those scans in full size if anyone needs them, just email. They are clearer than the resized scans, but damn are they BIG. One of these years I will sit down and scan my old pics, and post them here. I still need to update the 250 tech page. I have a lot of stuff to add when I get around to it.

I saw this posted on another board:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... Track=true

Pretty neat. It looks just about like a 90D. At least the helix & cam look the same except no backlash slippers. 11" diameter. Talk about a hole shot :-) 7/8" shaft so will probably fit a 350, but maybe need to cut the frame to fit it in there, dunno. You think that would fit on your pilot Hoser? Might make for some fun experiments

What is the diameter of the 790? They make something bigger than the 790?

I was told years ago John Deere had a sled with a 12" clutch it used no gear reduction unit..

The 790 is 8 1/2" in dia. The 700 and 770 are 9 1/2" dia, and the 90D is 9 13/16" dia. that's why the 90D"s give just a little better hole shot.

Nothing I know of unless we dig around on Ebay and find some sled clutches that are larger. I would not be scared to take that 11" dia sled clutch and drill out the rivets, and then rivet a 90D center section w/ the backlash slippers into it.

I called Roy Navarrete of Quality Drive Systems http://home.mindspring.com/~royco/ he didnt answer the phone so I left a message to check his email and he did, his replyto whats bigger than a 90D was "The 90D is 9-13/16" and the 790 is 8-15/32". There is a model 760 that is 11-1/4" diameter."

My next question was what is the OD so I can see if one will fit. will keep you updated..

Cool, I wonder if that 760 is new or something they have had for a while. I think a larger clutch would work good with a hi rev sled Engine like what you have and if it geared it to low you could always go to a larger diameter rear tire. The larger tire should hook up better coming out of the hole and maybe give you a better launch out of the corners in the short course twisty turny trails.

Here was his reply.

The outside diameter of the 760 Driven is 11-1/4”. The length through the bore is the same as the 90D. The 760 with 7/8” bore cost $ 245.00, plus shipping.

Zoom in - Hold down the Ctrl key and scroll the roller on your mouse. Assuming you are viewing on a Windows PC.

So, just tried on the PC, and same as my phone and tablet, i can see words there, but they just get blurry when i zoom in to see the details. I do use glasses, but to see far away, so i know that is not the problem.

What info you looking for?

I would contact http://www.hoffcocomet.com/EpiphanyWeb/ ... .aspx?ID=1 ask them if they have service manuals for the clutches your working on I will assume some place they have PDF's you can download.

I did a whole bunch of searching for it on the net and didn't find anything. I think you are going to have to drop a dime and make a call.

Yeah, did the google searches, tried a bunch of keywords, and the best post was this one. Was hoping one of the members took up the original offer for the full scans. I think I put mine back together using what few words I could make out. The previous owner of my 90d had the spring in hole 2, and it just wasn't shifting where I wanted it to. Will have to test it when it stops raining I guess. Would still like to get the original to put with my books if anyone can get a scan of the full documents.

There isn't much info on the 90d out there, a lot on the 94c, but not much on the 90d. I didn't even know that there was a built in adjustment until later I came across a post saying to put the spring in another hole. Started diggin, looked at the clutch, and sure enough found some holes in it. Found this post, which looked perfect for a starting place, but found the words and finer details to be a bit hard to read when you enlarge it. I'll have to see if the people in hosers link can send me a pdf or copy.
