I don't think the cylinder bolts are a direct fit, I've seen somewhere a base plate made as an adapter, not sure what in the norm, for the install, too bad Honda did not think of this when they designed it so it could have been an easy swap

I have no problems relocating cylinder studs have a great welder and fabricator whom is close friend just wanted to be sure it would make enough power for the trouble to do conversion. Also will clutch clear the 500 cylinder?

The early cr500 cylinders 85-89 clear better than the Later models on the clutch and the starter. The cylinder studs do have to be relocated. Early cylinders were harder hitting. Short of making your own pipe atv motorsports still produces a pipe. Neal only has a few made a year (that what he told me) but they are still available. The pilot conversion head has the two radiator fittings cut out and a single installed in the same spot. If you want to get even better performance out of them bore the carb to 40.5mm. Their are some great intakes/exhaust manifolds for these if you want even better performance than stock. I’m sure their is more to do with the cases but I haven’t seen mine in awhile.
