I think I just figured out why this thing didn't work as expected.
I need a check valve.
As the piston starts toward BDC it pulls the air back through the hose.

A work in progress. Stay tune. One more try.

Well I finished this project tonight but it's after midnight here now so I'll post the video and comments later. I don't want to stay up for another hour while youboob loads the video.

Maybe try using your compression tester with and outlet port. Put a tee where the gauge screws in and put chuck and guage on tee. Then you have a check valve and a guage to see whats going on. Got an old one?

I made a check valve and it works.
I'm uploading the second vid to youboob as we speak.
As soon as it's done I will post it and post the comments on it.
Currently the time left for the upload is at 17 min from now.

Ok there it is ----- SUCCESS !!!!!

Closing thoughts:
1) This works really well. It took 40 sec to fill a completely flat rear tire to 5.5 psi
2) Starter rpm was 350 rpm. I noticed this was really dependent on battery state, starter condition and Engine mods.
It was obvious that all three of the above conditions are going to make a difference because my brothers machine spins at a different rate than this Engine. If your starter is poo or your compression is high that would make a difference.
3) Lastly I want to comment on the temperature of the air coming out. Even though the Engine was not running the hose was hot !! . Well not hot but VERY noticeably warm. As a millwright I know that when you compress air it gets hot and that's why industrial air compressors have cooling systems. It just kind of shocked me that I would notice the heat on a little oddy Engine. So I can just imagine what's going on when this thing is spinning at 8000 or 9000 rpm. How does the fuel not detonate ??

Oh my, you need better internet.
My coffee got cold and now my beer is getting hot waiting.

That will be handy a ways from home or pump. Since I have been doing more woods riding and being future from the truck not a bad idea. My wife even ask what if we get a flat way out here. I said "we", if I get one I'll take yours of course silly. She said like hell you will. She also said enjoy your walk.

I don't know if I would run this tire inflation system with a modern Engine.
All the new stuff is fuel injected and high tech. Maybe it will work -- not sure.

Well I was jealous, had to go make one.
Took fouled plug and welded one up. Thanks for the great idea. Looks like I won't have to walk or ruin a tire.
Thanks

I like adnoh quality better. That air chuck is better than the plastic end I got on my set up. Now you just have to remember to bring it along and not leave it in the garage.

It's already in My on board back pack. I am looking for a non plastic line more like a braided hose. I did let the air out of my front tire and aired back up. I was also thinking I have rear tire air tanks I could get some air out of if needed. Take a pound out of each rear and move to front and so. Then I got to thinking about making the frame a air tank. Just air it up before going ridding.
So far tank, tire tank and back up Engine pump. I will also keep a plug kit in my on board back pack as well.
Since Co has a spare tire he has a spare air tank. Fill it to 10lbs before you go. Just make up a chuck to chuck end.

Keep coming up with great ideas.
