Can anyone verify for me if the seals on a FL350 go in from the outside of the gearbox or the inside of the box ??
THX in advance for any replies.

Here is a pic from the service manual, looks like they get installed from the outside:

Thx for the reply.
Yeah I got that pic on the wall in the shop and I see that too, but just wanted to make sure and if anyone has done one.
The reason I want to make sure is that I gave a new member here bad advice on his FL250 crank seals. Those one's go in from the inside apparently. Adnoh saved my azz on that one.

I see...
Looking at the fl250 service manual it shows that the seals get put in from the inside. So I would say the gearbox seals getting put in from the outside is still a safe bet.

Sounds and looks good to me.
Outside In it is then.

Still can't put this gearbox together. A needle bearing is back ordered for 6 weeks  and I still don't have those seals LOL.

I install mine from the outside. I can get you the seals as well, I’ll get them sent to me and then send them to you, just say the word. :-)

Thx for the info.
Thx for the offer.
These seals are just for the spare gearbox with the welded teeth on the AB and the repaired AB shaft. I got stuff coming but for some reason its delayed. Also the seals I got coming are not the correct ones (no metal shield) but its unlikely I'll ever have to run this gearbox. It's just an emergency spare.
I will keep that offer in mind though and reserve the right to call it in :-) .
