One of the more popular and readily available pipes for the pilot was made by Power Pros. They also built pipes for Atv racing, klemm and a few others. If the heat wrap was off the seams/ welds would be visible and easier to tell who might of made it. Power pros made a rev and a torque pipe.

This pilot doesnt have nearly the power that the stock one has. I have not changed jets(previous owner claims to have), but I have screwed around with the needle and air screw while checking the plug. still a little rich, but much better than it was. I have the stock expansion chamber but not the muffler. I may put it back on and see if that restores the low end.

what compression do you have on the 2 machines? generally if they are both in the same state of health the one with the pipe should make at least a seat of the pants difference in a positive direction.
also jetting usually needs to be changed with larger mains and possibly a needle change or adjustment.
and lastly, is the airbox stock on both, if it is running rich try pulling the airbox cover off, if that helps then do the airbox mod.
