In this video he explains the basic principle that a 2-stroke powerband is determined by the tuned pipe (resonating chamber?), The way he puts it gives me a
crazy idea...
What if the length of the res chamber was ADJUSTABLE in real-time, resulting in an infinite powerband?
This would require a hydraulic piston with distance sensors controlled by
Engine RPM. This would alter res chamber length. Chamber would have to be double-walled with a high-pressure seal so the outer wall rides on the inner wall when adjusting, and the system (although it would have to work very fast, actually perhaps this could be implimented manually for quicker response. But that's getting complicated. Er, and this whole idea takes away from reliability) would be continually variable. CVPB. Or no?
