Anyone found a suitable 4 stroke Engine for a Pilot transplant yet?

Need to find a cost effective setup, I like the Engine in my RZR 800cc EFI, seems reliable only problem is it lives happy at around 5k RPM forget the max RPM, so this would require a gear change in the Pilot.

Have my 440 Rotax Engine maxing out at around 7600 RPM I turn it up to 8400 RPM when riding with other Pilots so they can enjoy that sweet sound as I pass by, this Engine loves 9200 RPM and with a pipe mod and rotary valve mod will run reliably at 10,500 RPM at about 112HP stock its 82HP

Since I ride in the desert solo most the time would like to get back to the Pilot keeping the RZR when I have a passenger.

Problem with the Pilot is I want a 100 mile fuel range, not sure if I can increase the tank size to make 100 miles.

I still have that ATVR LT Pilot that use to be Wolfskill's viewforum.php?f=118 I would want the long travel for the desert.

Was thinking about swapping in my 440 Rotax into the Wolfskill Pilot and seeing what the range would be, swap would be EASY since my design is all bolt in, can install in any Pilot without butchering anything including wiring.

I could probably clutch the Desert Pilot down, lower the RPM to 6800 since top speed is not really required and pick up a few MPG, I'm guessing I average 35-45 MPH most the time in the RZR unless I am on a dirt road I kick it up to 55-60 MPH.

There has only been a few times with the RZR in 18,700 miles of desert riding I actually had to use 4WD in the RZR on some really intense trails I would never attempt in a Pilot, rock crawling sections, I like running 35-45 MPH not 1 MPH through the desert lol

Robby Gordon has a 2cly Engine that can make 300HP but I do not even need to ask how much for a Engine, its out of my range, come on Lotto! lol

PPP {chad} runs the Yamaha Phazer snow mobile Engine in his pilot. fuel injected, tuneable. No idea on what kind of range he gets out of it though.
