Hi guys I just picked up a Honda Odyssey fl250 and it fires up ever pull and it idles pretty good and as soon as I give it a little gas it will start to go but will only goes about 10kmph and as soon as I start to give it more gas it just goes blrrrrre like it has no power, when I got it it didn’t have a fuel tank so I just put a smaller one on to test it but I’m gravity feeding it and it look like they are ment to have a fuel pump?

Some carbs are fine with gravity feed, depending on the float valve.

Have you tried a new plug? If I remember correctly the sticker on the fl250 says to mix the gas at 20/1. That would likely foul a plug with todays higher quality 2 stroke oils. 32/1 is what I ran when I had my 250.

So, this could be a few different things. What have you done so far? Did you do a compression check? Clean the carb? Fresh plug with good gap? Does the stator look like it has been rebuilt?

Is the air filter and spark arrestor clean, restricted flow in or out affects performance then there is clutching issues like broken springs in clutches that allow early upshifting
