Also will fit

The ? did the rod need to be modded before fitting Eg grinding the down the outer side / end to fit with in the crank case ( I thought I had read that somewhere )
and thoughts of reusing the crank big end pin.

I have no info on grinding the rod.
According to service honda the part number you show should fit as they designate it for the FL350. Measure it to the old one if it's not damaged.
If it is a slight bit different in size then you would have to use a different size washer - No ?
It's your final crank width that would count.

Re-use the old pin:
My question is what does that pin look like and spec out at ?
If it has ANY scoring or a rust mark on it then toss it.
If I remember from my millwright schooling on shrink fits ------
.001 to .003 is standard
.004 is excessive
.005 is extreme
The pins are an interference fit so I bet it's got .002 to .0025 interference fit.
You gota use a good micrometer for this and not a dial caliper on the pin and a bore mic for the crank hole. If you are a gambler you can use that dial caliper.
If the crank holes and the old pin spec out to this then I would re-use it.
But then again I'm a northern skillbilly.
Usually if you blow a crank rod bearing that pin will be toast -- No ??
Can't you get a new one ??

Side note:
If you use that dial caliper for measurements you have to realize that you must use the same "light" pressure each time you measure. You can get any measurement you want with a dial caliper if you "muscle" the thumb wheel.

Here is my rebuild on my FL350 crank.

About half way down in that post is a picture showing that the rod is slightly longer than stock. You have to buff off about .030"+ off the bottom of it so it don't hit the cases.

Good new on the Crank rebuild

Had the crank split today big end Pin Not a mark on it and in speck

The connecting rods I have are a perfect match, so crank in back together and pickup
tomorrow.

The Guy that is doing the crank is a Australian Speedway champ, in the game for 25 years.
knows hes stuff
