How much HP does a pipe add ?
According to some dyno results I've found online, which were run on a stock Banshee, a pipe adds between 1 and 5 HP and adds 1000 rpm to 1500 rpm.
These results were taken from 10 different manufactures of pipes (NOT the manufactures testing).
Makers were: DG, DMC, DYNO PORT, FMF, GRAYDON, LRD, PRO CURCUIT, PSI, TURNER.
Worst was: Dyno Port and DG with a 1 HP gain and 1.1 HP gain.
Best were: Graydon, LRD, and Pro Curcuit with 4.5 HP to 5 HP gain.
Lots of bad mouthing about DG being slightly better than stock but were the cheapest pipe out there. The dyno results seemed to prove it.
The bad mouthing continued with respect to pricing (I don't know current prices). Apparently the DG is not worth the money anymore because for a hundred or two more you could get real gains on a Banshee.
But based on those numbers it tells me what I have said here in past posts. NOBODY is going to notice any difference in performance because the azz dyno is not that accurate.
The Banshee has 41 HP. That's close to the Oddy 34.2 HP I got on my dyno results when the clutch exploded.
The Banshee is a two stroke 350cc twin cylinder Engine.

If your looking for a Banshee pipe hit the Banshee forums, you will have to decide what you want torque or rev pipes.

I had a '88 banshee, added a set of Toomey pipes with their dynojet kit, that woke it right up, not sure how much but noticably, then had some porting done on it and that turned it into a beast!
